Intoxalock device, company and complaints
- Device
- Its own site doesn't give the model a name: there's a plain device, or one with a camera plus real-time reporting.
- Taking a test
- Blow for one second, breathe in for one second, then keep blowing till the handset vibrates; that's about 4 seconds.
- What it does
- A one-button start; on the fuller device you also get real-time reporting, a camera and remote lockout clearing; a protection plan costs $10 a month.
- Driver app
- For calibration dates, payments and your account, there's the Intoxalock Mobile App.
- Company
- One of the Mindr brands, like ADS, is Consumer Safety Technology, LLC.
- Also searched as
- Intox a Lock
- BBB rating
- A+, accredited by the BBB (its Urbandale, Iowa listing).
Its BBB page lists the complaints and how the company replied. Sources: Intoxalock's app page, company details, device page and test guide, and Mindr's brand list.
